I haven’t written about the LoveLula Beauty Box for a while (last time was in January 2017!) so it’s time I’ve included them in my monthly round-up of natural skincare reviews. Subscription boxes are gaining more and more popularity these days, and I love not only the ability to try on various new products and brands, but also the surprise element – honestly, it feels like Christmas day, my birthday and Mother’s Day all come on the same day when I open the box – I know, that’s sad but I know there’s more of me getting equally excited πŸ™‚

So from this month, I’m going to post about what’s inside each LL Beauty Box a few days after it’s arrived – it won’t necessarily be a review of any of the products as I won’t have enough time to test the products but I’ll give you my view on their ingredients (as that’s what I always look at when deciding whether to test a product or not) and my overall first impressions.

So here is what I received in the box this month:

LoveLula Beauty Box Sep 2017

The total value of this month’s box is a whopping Β£50 which for a Β£13.95 (rolling) subscription box is amazing value for money! Let’s have a look at each of the items in the box:

Walden Natural Perfume Gift Set (5 x 5ml)

I’ve previously done a mini review of the full size Walden perfume, A Little Star Dust and I’d also had samples of the other fragrances so this wasn’t a new set to me. Another fragrance that stands out for me is Two Eternities. As with many natural perfumes, you need to let them grow on you as they smell so very different to conventional high-street perfumes. Kimberly Sayer 4 samples

I’d never tried any of Kimberly Sayer’s products so when I opened the box, I was looking forward to giving these a go. Out of the four samples though, only one seems to be suitable to my skin type. Find out more here.

Joik White Chocolate Bath Truffle

Last month I ordered a couple of other Joik products and I’m so impressed with the brand so when I saw their truffle inside this month’s box, I was very excited as heard good things about those bath truffles. Ingredients-wise, these are fab and simple as they only contain four ingredients – bicarbonate soda, cocoa butter, citric acid and corn starch. I haven’t used it yet (it’s so pretty so feel bad to use it!) but I can imagine it’ll leave my skin feeling very soft. Find out more here.

Esse Probiotic gel cleanser

Another brand which I’ve had my eyes on for a while so I started using this cleanser straight away. I’ve been using it for about a week now and I don’t quite know yet whether I like it or not. It hasn’t really impressed me in any way but at the same time I can’t say anything bad about it as it cleanses my face well. I’m just not too keen on the smell even though I love the smell of peppermint. Find out more here.

Balm Balm Beauty Balm

Another little gem by Balm Balm, a wonderful British brand that I go back to over and over again. This multi-purpose balm can be used as a cleanser, exfoliator and moisturiser. I think it works amazing as a cleanser (although it’s a bit too waxy for me, most likely due to the presence of beeswax) and as a hand cream as my hands – which I wash way too often! – need extra hydration. Find out more here.
