Welcome to my weekly gratitude list where I share all the every day moments that have made me happy and made me appreciate life, No matter how mundane life can sometimes feel, there’s always so much to be grateful for which is why I collate these gratitude lists every week!

Another week of illnesses and miserable weather but I’m determined to continue to document those little glimpses of happiness so here we go – it’ll be a short one though this week.

Ok, so this is what made me happy this week:

~Photo session ~

Last Saturday, we took part in a fundraising photo shoot for the sister of Leo’s best friend in school who was diagnosed with a rare and inoperable brain tumour DIPG. All proceeds went towards funding this pioneering treatment for her in Mexico so it’s been a lovely way to help out and at the same time, get beautiful pictures for our family. I’m waiting for the final pics but in the meantime, here’s one of my lovely Leo who was very shy on the day but Reka, our photographer, made him so comfortable and managed to get a smile out of him.

~ My big boy Max turning 9 months~

Last Monday, our not-so-little Max turned nine months and I’m afraid I have to use the cliched “Where has the time gone?” It’s crazy how big this boy has got, he looks like a toddler, wearing 12-18 months clothes, crawling like a pro, climbing up onto everything and making adorable little noises, and showing his personality. Everyone comments how cute he is and I can’t help but agree – he’s the happiest, smiliest little baby I’ve seen for a long time. Since Leo was a baby of course 🙂

~ My Mum feeling better ~

My Mum had a serious chest infection last week and was prescribed some strong medication some of which she had to administer through a nebuliser, and it was really awful speaking to her on Skype and not being able to help out. She’s doing much better now which of course makes me happy.

~ Sorting out Leo’s room ~

This was on my ‘things to do while on maternity leave’ list for months and last week we finally bought a new storage unit for his room and generally decluttered everything so his toys, books and other activities are age-appropriate and neatly organised. Let’s see how long that storage unit stays tidy hahaha! Now I need to do Max’s 1st year photo book/ record book, review my wardrobe as I have way too many clothes and half of them probably don’t fit me after pregnancy as well as sort out our photos on the external drive – why did we ever take thousands and thousands of photos?

I think that’s it, I’ve not been well this week, suffering from this annoying tickly cough which keeps me awake at night so should really rest up now (as I’m writing this on a Friday night obviously!). Have a fun weekend everyone! Hopefully the sun makes an appearance! xx

  1. Hi, sounds like you have had a good week. I’ve just finished
My 3rd child’s “first year baby book” of photos which I made online (photobox). It took me ages sorting through all the thousands of pics we took! I’m looking forward to receiving the finished book. He’s actually 2 and a half now so it’s about time he got his book haha! Hope your tickly cough improves soon #HappyDaysLinky
