Welcome to my weekly gratitude list where I share all the every day moments that have made me happy and made me appreciate life, No matter how mundane life can sometimes feel, there’s always so much to be grateful for which is why I collate these gratitude lists every week!

Well, it’s been another crazy week – honestly, it feels like there’s just always another drama every week. This week, Max’s sleeping at night was just all over the place. He used to be such a good sleeper, easily doing a whole night stretch, only occasionally waking up once (around midnight) to feed. This week he was crying hysterically for hours and we barely got any sleep – we can only put it down to teething but despite wearing an amber necklace and giving him teething remedies, he still bites his thumb when he wakes up in the middle of the night and is so restless. But anyway, that’s parents’ life for you, right?

Ok, so this is what made me happy this week:

~ Getting new glasses ~

I’d had my eyesight tested the week before and last weekend I had to collect my new glasses and I’m so happy with them 🙂 Unfortunately, my eyesight has got worse since I had it tested last year but my new specs are fab so I love wearing them because I think glasses suit my face 🙂

~ Making some more of my homemade skincare products ~

This is slowly becoming my favourite thing to do in my spare time (just after blogging, that is :)). So last weekend, I decided to try out a few new recipes, including a chocolate and mint body scrub (which is literally safe enough to eat!). The other products I’ve made are: facial oil, vitamin mask, eye serum and mango body butter – I’ll be posting their recipes on the blog soon so keep an eye on these. I also had to replenish our body creams as the four of us all use my own body butters now. f you’re interested in creating your own super-easy and super-natural whipped body butters (yes, you do need to use your electric whisk!), then check out my post with three recipes on different versions of body butters or my recipe for nourishing massage bars.

~ My two adorable boys ~

On Monday morning, we all woke up in our bed and my two boys just started cuddling with each other. It was such a sweet little moment and it just melted my heart! It’s not the best of pictures but I had to quickly capture it before the moment was gone.

~ Booking my first blogging conference ~

I’m so excited as really wanted to attend one for ages but they all seemed to have been sold so when I found out the BritMums Live 2017 (#BML17) was still open, I jumped up with joy and got that card out to pay for it right at that moment! It’s one of the biggest and most popular events for (parent) bloggers so I really can’t wait to go and learn more about blogging as well as to meet other wonderful bloggers. Plus, Aby from You Baby Me Mummy is speaking at the event and she’s my blogging guru so can’t wait for this event even more! Roll on 30 September!

~ My little brother ~

It was my little brother’s birthday the other day and he booked his flights to see us in June so I’m super happy to see him soon. And when I say ‘little’ brother, I mean he’s three years younger than me because he’s by no way a ‘little’ brother at 6′ 7” hahaha 😀

~ Seeing my friend’s baby girl ~

A few weeks ago, I mentioned in my happy days post that she’d given birth three weeks early and now that they’ve had a chance to find their feet, I finally got a chance to see them. It was so lovely to see them and her little girl is so dinky at around 6-7 pounds, my not-so-little-anymore Max looked absolutely gigantic next to her!

I think that’s pretty much it! Hope you all have a fab weekend! xx

  1. Oh hope you get some sleep soon! We seem to go through phases where everyone sleeps through and phases where one of them wakes! Right now the baby is sleeping through and ironically it is our 4 year old who is waking! So exciting that you have booked a blogging conference. I’d love to go to one at some point! How cool that you will get to see ‘Queen Aby’!! x
